How is the editing workspace arranged?
Phoxo places its toolbox along the left side of the workspace, with image and layer controls nearby and libraries for frames and clip art on the right. Menus provide access to the full set of commands, while a quick-access toolbar keeps frequently used tools close at hand.
To build a design, start a new document from the File menu, then add layers as needed. Choose a tool from the toolbox to draw, fill an area, add a shape, or work with a gradient. Double-click an item in the frame or clip-art library to bring it into the image.
Layers, lettering, and decorative elements
Separate layers let edits and added elements sit apart from the underlying image. Text, frames, and clip art can be combined in a composition, with fill changes available for decorative items. The toolbox includes brushes, a pen, bucket fills, and shape tools for simple graphics as well as photo work.

Effects and supported image formats
