The main window centers on an image queue and resize-profile controls for processing individual photos or batches. Light Image Resizer lets you choose output dimensions, convert formats, and save results to a chosen destination while keeping the originals or creating copies.
Resize profiles and batch output
Choose a preset profile for common targets such as 1K, 2K, email, or web use, or save your own dimensions and settings as a profile. A profile can combine resizing with format conversion, compression, renaming, and destination choices.
The batch workflow accepts images from files, folders, and subfolders. Choose whether to overwrite the originals or make copies, select an output folder, and optionally preserve the source directory structure. A live preview shows the expected result before processing.
- Add frequently used profiles to the Windows Explorer context menu.
- Sort images and rename files as part of the output workflow.
- Package processed images in a ZIP archive when needed.
Which image formats can it handle?
Light Image Resizer works with common formats including JPEG, PNG, GIF, TIFF, WebP, and PDF, along with RAW files from camera makers such as Canon, Nikon, Sony, and Olympus. Other formats include PSD, BMP, ICO, and JPEG 2000. HEIC may need a Microsoft Store extension; AVIF needs the ImageMagick plugin.
The format tools can convert images between supported types, such as JPEG and WebP. Output can also be compressed for email or web publishing. PDF creation combines one or more images into a document, and the program can convert PDF pages to JPEG.
Watermarks, collages, and sharing
Add a text or image watermark, including transparent text and copyright details. Sépia coloring and borders provide a few additional finishing options. The collage maker arranges selected photos in a chosen layout for saving or sharing.
For email, the publishing feature can attach processed photos individually or package them in a ZIP file. Custom profiles can also store preferred export settings, so a recurring resize-and-convert task does not need to be configured from scratch each time.
