Need to turn a sketch, photo, or rough idea into a graphic? DrawPad combines drawing tools, image editing, and vector design in one Windows workspace, with templates for common print and web projects.

From sketches to layered graphics

DrawPad includes pencil, brush, pen, marker, crayon, spray-paint, and pixel-brush tools for sketching and painting. Brush and pencil strokes can be edited after drawing, and pressure sensitivity is available with compatible drawing tablets or touchpads. Areas can be filled with solid colors, gradients, patterns, or textures.

The editor handles raster and vector artwork. Layers let you keep text, shapes, and images on separate levels, then reorder those elements as a composition takes shape. For vector work, Bezier curves, paths, and shape tools provide ways to build scalable logos, diagrams, and web graphics. Rulers, guides, grids, snapping, and alignment controls assist with positioning.

What can you make with DrawPad?

A template wizard starts projects such as business cards, greeting cards, flyers, letterhead, logos, menus, newsletters, and online banners. Choose a layout, then customize it with images, text, and colors. Preset banner sizes and button shapes are geared toward web graphics; vector artwork can also be resized for different print dimensions.

For image adjustments, DrawPad includes crop, rotate, resize, and flip commands. Text can be styled with font, size, color, and weight controls, or arranged along a curve. Effects include bevels, drop shadows, and inner or outer glows. A watermark tool adds identifying text or artwork to a design.

File formats and finishing a design

DrawPad can open common graphics and document formats, including SVG, GIF, JPEG, BMP, ICO, PNG, TIFF, and PDF, along with its own project files. Export options include PNG, JPEG, BMP, ICO, SVG, PDF, EPS, and PSD. Keeping a project in a layered format supports continued editing; exporting to a finished image or document provides a shareable version.

A typical project can start from a blank canvas or template, add drawn elements and imported images on separate layers, then apply effects and text before export. The clipart library supplies artwork to incorporate into a composition. For a logo or banner that needs resizing, vector shapes and paths retain their scalability.
