Crop, resize, and retouch
PhotoPad includes tools to crop, rotate, flip, straighten, and resize photos. Crop a picture to focus on a particular area, or change its dimensions for web or print use. For resizing to a higher resolution, the Super Resolution tool uses machine learning.
Retouch options include red-eye correction, blemish touch-ups, noise reduction, and object removal. The Remove Object tool lets you brush over an unwanted area. Brightness, contrast, exposure, color balance, and sharpness controls address common image adjustments.
Effects and layer editing
The Effects Library includes treatments such as cartoon, oil painting, sepia, and vignette, along with color filters. PhotoPad supports non-destructive editing: effects can be reordered or adjusted in the layers list, and layer visibility can be toggled to compare an edit with the image underneath.
Regional Effects apply a filter to a selected part of a photo, either by selecting an area or painting the effect onto it. Censor tools blur or pixelate chosen regions, which can cover faces or text.
Collages, text, and batch tasks
Create a collage from a preset layout or arrange photos in a freeform layout, then add a background and text. Captions, shapes, clipart, frames, and borders provide additional ways to annotate or decorate an image. The editor also includes tools for calendars, greeting cards, and contact sheets for printing.
