Room Arranger for Windows

The Wall Editor can place a floor-plan image beneath your drawing so you can trace the room’s walls over it. Room Arranger then lets you add furnishings, check measurements, and inspect the layout in 3D.

Tracing and building a floor plan

In the Wall Editor, load an image or photo of a floor plan, calibrate it, and draw walls over the reference. Add doors, windows, and other room elements to form the plan, then arrange furniture and equipment within it.

The object library includes furniture and household equipment. You can change an item’s dimensions to match the piece you own, or create a custom object for something that is missing. Objects can snap to nearby walls as you move them, and groups can contain other groups.

How can you check a layout in 3D?

Switch from the floor plan to an interactive 3D view to look around the space or walk through it. A project can contain multiple floors, so you can review connected levels together. Wall and floor colors or materials can be set separately, and annotations let you add notes to the plan.

Measurements and printed plans

Use the measurement tool to check clearances between objects and see dimensions on the plan. Room Arranger also calculates areas for rooms and walls, along with other project measurements; those values can be copied into Excel for further work.

For paper plans, set a print scale such as 1:50 or 1:100. When the drawing exceeds one sheet, the program can divide the plan across multiple pages.
