Adding and locking folders
After setting a master password, add the folders to protect to SecretFolder’s list. Locking a listed folder hides it from File Explorer and restricts access until it is unlocked through the application.
The folder stays in its existing location; SecretFolder’s workflow is to lock and unlock selected folders in place, not to move them into a separate container. Unlock a folder when its contents need to be opened, then lock it again when finished.

Access protection
SecretFolder makes protected folders hidden and inaccessible through ordinary browsing while they are locked. This is access restriction, not file encryption: the folder contents are not converted into encrypted files.
