Choose an MPV-EASY display mode
MPV-EASY offers four run modes and two graphical interfaces, including its own GUI and mpv’s native interface. The settings interface lets you adjust playback options such as the video output driver, hardware decoding, and the quality-versus-performance profile.
The on-screen controller (OSC) can be configured for its layout, seek-bar style, transparency, and other display details. The player also includes a customizable menu for triggering playback commands and features without entering each command during viewing.
Navigate videos with the Advanced Playlist
The Advanced Playlist provides controls for moving through queued items. MPV-EASY can also open M3U playlists, including lists of online video links, so entries can be selected for playback.

Add MPV scripts and change shortcuts
MPV-EASY supports mpv Lua and JavaScript scripts. Script files go in the player’s portable-data scripts folder, while script-specific options can be stored in the corresponding settings folders. The bundled configuration separates mpv settings from key bindings: rjno1.conf holds playback settings, and input.conf holds shortcuts.
Custom key bindings require editing input.conf or a script file; the settings interface does not provide a dedicated shortcut editor. The GUI and settings interface support Chinese and English, with Italian and Japanese also available.
