Forget to back up your work folders? Karen’s Replicator copies selected folders to another drive or network share on a schedule, and sets up these copy jobs for folders on local drives or network locations.

How do you set up a copy job?

Choose a source folder and a destination folder, then set how often the job should run. Both locations can be on the computer or elsewhere on the network. Jobs can repeat on intervals ranging from a few minutes to several months.

For recurring backups, the option to copy only changed or newly added files avoids recopying unchanged items on each run. You can also exclude specific files or set days when a job should be skipped.

What happens when files are removed from the source?

A job can be configured to delete destination files and folders when their corresponding items have been deleted from the source. This keeps the destination closer to the current source contents, but means removals can carry over to the copy.

How can you check or control a running job?

Replicator shows progress while copying and records activity in a log. The job controls include pausing or aborting a copy; a warning appears if a file is still being copied when either action is selected.

• Use the log to inspect recorded job activity.
• Pause or stop a job from its controls.

Can Karen’s Replicator copy files to a network folder?

Yes. Source and destination folders can be located on network locations.

Can it skip files that have not changed?

Yes. A job can copy only files that have changed or been added.

Can a job delete files from its destination?

Yes. If you turn the option on, anything you delete in the source folder is also removed from the copy.
