What is Ummy Video Downloader? It is a simple Windows app that saves online videos, mainly from YouTube, as MP4 files up to 4K or as MP3 audio. Downloading from YouTube breaks its terms of service unless the content is yours or freely licensed.
From video link to download
It works from video links rather than a built-in search.
Ummy supports downloads from YouTube and other named services, including TikTok, Facebook, Vimeo, Twitter, Twitch, and Tumblr. Support can vary by site and content, so a link’s availability depends on whether the service is supported.
Which formats and quality options can you choose?
Video downloads can be saved as MP4, while audio can be extracted as MP3. Quality choices include SD, HD, Full HD, 2K, and 4K; the options shown depend on the video. Selecting a lower resolution can reduce the saved file’s size, while a higher available resolution preserves more picture detail.
Playlists and in-app playback
For YouTube, Ummy can download a playlist instead of requiring each video to be added separately. It also supports simultaneous downloads, allowing multiple selected items to transfer at the same time.
Downloaded video and audio files can be played from within the Ummy interface. That keeps the basic download-and-play workflow in one desktop app, without needing to open another player for a quick check.
