IDA integrates with browsers including Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera, Safari, and Vivaldi. When a browser sends a file link to the program, IDA takes over the transfer from the browser’s standard download module.

Split transfers and resume interrupted files
For HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP downloads, IDA divides a file into parts and downloads those parts at the same time. This approach can increase transfer speed when the server and connection allow parallel requests.
If a transfer breaks, IDA can resume it from the point it stopped when the server supports continuing partial downloads. The program also provides download speed controls, including an automatic mode intended to leave bandwidth available for browsing.

IDA can detect file types and place downloads into assigned categories and folders. Categories can be nested, so documents, archives, and media can be arranged in a hierarchy that matches the user’s filing system.
