Zoom from the disk view into nested folders
Eagle Mode represents storage as a visual space. Use the mouse to zoom toward a folder and reveal the files inside it, then continue into subfolders. Zooming back out returns to the broader view, keeping the folder hierarchy within the same navigable space.
Navigation is animated with inertia-style movement, zoom depth is practically unlimited, and editable bookmarks jump straight to places you use often. The file manager itself supports scriptable commands.
Browse files alongside viewers
Built-in viewers handle most common file types, and an audio/video player (using VLC) plays media. Autoplay can run a slideshow of pictures or document pages, or play a series of songs or videos.
Find games in the same zoomable interface
Inside the same space you will find a chess game, Netwalk and a 3D Mines game, along with a multi-function clock, a stock watchlist and fractal visualizations. Eagle Mode is free, open-source software under the GPL.
