HopToDesk connects Windows PCs for remote screen viewing and control, with file transfer and live chat built into the session. It also supports connections with Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and Raspberry Pi devices.
How do you start a remote session?
Open HopToDesk on both devices and use the client to connect to the other computer. Once connected, the operator can view the remote screen and control it. The app is available for several operating systems, so a Windows computer can connect with supported devices on other platforms too.
HopToDesk’s traffic is end-to-end encrypted, including the screen-sharing stream, chat messages, and transferred files. The client works without an account. Direct IP access is also available for connections that use that method.
What can you do during a connection?
Alongside remote viewing and control, HopToDesk provides file transfer and live chat. These tools let people exchange files or messages while working in the same remote session. SOCKS5 proxy connections and IP whitelisting are also supported.

What does the HopToDesk Dashboard add?
The separate Dashboard extends remote access with device monitoring and management. It includes status monitoring, alerts, unattended access, session history, reports, and remote command execution. Teams can also use its help desk, ticket portal, roles, and custom-branded clients.
Dashboard features are aimed at managing multiple devices and support work. Session recording and searchable recordings are available there, along with CSV export for reports. Installing the client is required if a Windows device needs to start HopToDesk automatically as a background service or accept connections before sign-in.
