Want to record your screen, a webcam or an old VHS tape with the same tool? Debut Video Capture handles all three: choose a source, set the capture area or output options, and record with or without audio.
Screen and device capture
For desktop recording, Debut can capture the whole display, one application window, or a portion selected on screen. Multi-monitor capture is supported when a recording needs to include more than one display. Mouse highlighting can draw attention to cursor movement, and keystrokes can be shown in screen recordings.
The source options also include webcams, network IP cameras, and video input devices such as a VHS recorder. When recording a webcam and screen together, the video overlay places both sources in the same recording.
Audio, captions, and image controls
Record microphone audio, computer speaker audio, both, or video without sound. Captions and timestamps can be added to recordings, while an image logo or watermark can be placed over the video. A green screen tool can replace the background with an image, video, or solid color.
Color adjustments include brightness, contrast, and gamma. Monochrome, negative and sepia filters are available; the main window previews color changes before recording begins.
Output and recording schedule
Set the capture resolution, size, and frame rate, using a common preset or entering custom dimensions. Debut supports formats including AVI, WMV, FLV, MPG, MP4, and MOV. Recordings can also be trimmed at the beginning or end to remove unwanted footage.
