Screen too bright for the room? This lite edition of CareUEyes dims the display from the Windows tray using four preset levels. It changes the display’s gamma value, so the adjustment does not rely on a translucent dimming window.
Choose a brightness level from the tray
CareUEyes Lite keeps its controls in the tray area. Select one of the four preset levels—20%, 40%, 60%, or 80%—to change the display brightness. The choices are fixed steps, so there is no continuous slider for setting an in-between value.
Click the tray icon to restore the display or switch off the brightness adjustment.
Understand how the dimming works
The program adjusts the display’s gamma value instead of placing a translucent window over the screen. As a result, the dimming does not affect the Windows Start menu or taskbar, and it leaves the mouse cursor and screenshots unchanged.
The available controls focus on brightness; CareUEyes Lite does not include color-temperature adjustment or a blue-light filter.
