IsMyLcdOK displays fullscreen test patterns to help you spot defective or stuck pixels on an LCD monitor. Switch among solid colors, gradients, and line patterns to inspect different parts of the screen.
Cycle through the pixel-test patterns
The program puts each pattern across the screen so you can look for pixels that stay dark, light, or a different color from their surroundings. Solid white, black, red, green, blue, cyan, purple, and yellow backgrounds make individual pixel defects easier to notice.
Use the horizontal and vertical gradients to check how tones change across the display. Separate horizontal- and vertical-line patterns provide another way to inspect the panel.
- Press 1–8 to show the corresponding solid-color test.
- Press 9 for a horizontal gradient or 0 for a vertical gradient.
- Press F7 or V for vertical lines; press F8 or H for horizontal lines.
Run the graphics and endurance tests
IsMyLcdOK also includes small graphics stress tests: a BitBlt throughput test, rectangle painting, and line painting. These options put load on screen drawing; the color and line patterns for pixel inspection are separate.
- F2 starts the BitBlt test.
- F3 paints rectangles; F4 paints lines.
- F5 starts an endurance test that rapidly flashes random red, green, and blue combinations. The flashing may help a stuck pixel recover, but it is not guaranteed to do so.
Open the controls and leave a test
The available tests appear when the program starts. Press F1 to bring up the test options again while using the program, and press Esc to exit.
