Are your case fans too loud at idle, or do you want an alarm when the CPU runs hot? GIGABYTE System Information Viewer (SIV) lets owners of GIGABYTE motherboards tune fan curves, watch temperatures and voltages, and log them from Windows.
What can SIV monitor?
The System Alerts tab shows temperatures, voltages and fan speeds, and raises an alarm when a reading crosses a limit you set. The Record tab logs those values over time, and the readings can also be shown on the desktop.
The available readings and controls depend on the motherboard and system configuration. SIV is intended for Gigabyte hardware; support may be limited or unavailable on systems built around other manufacturers’ boards.
How do the SIV fan controls work?
SIV calibrates each fan the first time it runs. Smart Fan Auto then offers ready-made profiles such as quiet or full speed, and Smart Fan Advanced allows manual tuning. In Advanced, select a fan and adjust its curve so fan speed changes in response to temperature.
The curve settings include a temperature interval and a choice of temperature input. SIV also offers RPM Fixed Mode: the fan stays at the selected RPM until it reaches a set temperature threshold, then runs at maximum speed.
Can fan settings be saved for later?
SIV includes controls to save and load fan configuration profiles, as well as reset settings. After changing a curve or other fan options, apply the configuration so the selected settings take effect.

Does SIV work with other brands of motherboard?
No. It reads the sensors and fan headers of GIGABYTE and AORUS motherboards only.
Does SIV adjust GPU fan speed?
No. It controls CPU and case fans on the motherboard headers; graphics card fans need the card's own tool.
Can I set a fan to a fixed speed?
Yes. RPM Fixed Mode holds the chosen speed until a temperature threshold, then runs the fan at full speed.
Is SIV still offered for new boards?
Newer GIGABYTE boards bundle fan and monitoring tools in GIGABYTE Control Center, while SIV remains on the support pages of many models.
