Add files to a ZIP archive
Choose Add Files or Add Folders from the toolbar to collect items for a new archive. Dragging files into the program provides another way to add them. The resulting ZIP can gather documents and folders into one package for storage or sharing.
Five compression levels let you choose how the program handles the balance between archive size and the time spent compressing. Express Zip also has commands in File Explorer's right-click menu for compressing or extracting items without first selecting them in the main window.
Open and extract other archive formats
Open existing archives and extract their contents, from common types like RAR, 7Z, ISO and ZIPX to older ones such as CAB, ARJ, LZH, TAR and GZIP. The program also supports additional archive types, including multipart archives.
When an archive is encrypted, Express Zip can open it with its password. For ZIP files containing sensitive documents, it can also add password protection and encryption.
Manage and repair ZIP files
Existing ZIP archives can be edited by moving or changing their contents. The program can also split a large ZIP into smaller parts, which is handy when a single archive needs to be divided into more manageable pieces.
