Need somewhere to watch the films you bought from Microsoft, or play your own videos? Movies and TV is Microsoft's video app for Windows, combining your purchased titles with a personal video library.
Movie and series catalog
Microsoft stopped selling and renting new films and TV shows through its Store in July 2024. Titles bought before then stay in your account and can still be watched in the app, with details such as a synopsis, running time, cast and director.
Purchased titles play in HD without ads.
Personal video library
A separate area is for your own videos and recordings. Add personal clips to a library, organize them there, and play them in the app alongside content from the store.
Finding and watching a title
Day to day, the app is now mainly a player: open a purchased title from your collection or a video file from your PC.
